180310-N-HE318-0111 PHILIPPINE SEA (March 10, 2018) A Standard Missile (SM-2) is launched from the aft missile deck of the forward-deployed Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mustin (DDG 89) as part of a missile training exercise (MISSILEX) during Multisail 18. MultiSail is a bilateral training exercise improving interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese forces. This exercise benefits from realistic, shared training enhancing our ability to work together to confront any contingency.
